Programs and CollaborationFor Entrepreneurs & Business Leaders The Run a Better Business ("RABB") program provides mentoring and training to entrepreneurs actively building a business. RABB integrates a virtual management development program that incorporates local expertise through business groups and innovation centres. RABB combines management and business expertise as it applies to stakeholder relationships, operations, capital investments, and strategy. The RABB program builds individual skills, environments for super-teams, and relationships that leverage economies of scale. Our program addresses that many small and medium business owners lack formal management training. We provide a hands-on program that leverages coaching and peer-based learning. Our goal is to develop long-term relationships where participants and alumni can work collaboratively to develop eco-systems that leverages the competencies of a diverse group of participating companies. Our core team of management and marketing professionals follow a common program designed to accelerate growth by guiding teams as they navigate through common hurdles. Based on over 10 years of research, the RABB Program leverages the Business Competency Framework to manage strategy, structure, and the many resources needed to enable growth. |
Access Virtual Services From Anywhere
Any organization can access our programs through our virtual services and remote access. Also, members are invited to collaborate as members or guests of regional communities or virtual industry communities. Virtual access anywhere services include: cobranding & promotions, management workshops, meetup events, training & mentoring, affinity services, field trips/tours, and guest speakers.
Regional Communities
Run a Better Business activities are coordinated through a virtual network of regional centres. Program content is developed collectively by the regional centers and RABB's core team. Responsibilities are geographically distributed as part of our hybrid model; while programs are centrally coordinated, specific activities that support regional or industry vertical interests may be led by a regional group. Our approach leverages expertise within our community, regardless of where individuals are located.
Run a Better Business is actively promoted in Alberta Canada; however, we accept memberships from companies located anywhere in the world. We are also looking to collaborate with existing regional innovation and business development centres by augmenting their business and management programs. Our regional business partners include business centres, technology innovation groups, chambers of commerce, municipal groups, business co-ops, marketing groups (BNI), and equity capital firms.

Our Mandate
The Run a Better Business program was designed to help businesses expand their reach and accelerate growth. Combined, these two activities will lead to greater profits. Reaching these goals requires a disciplined approach that address all aspects of a business, not only a focus on product features or capital financing.
Our Sponsors
RABB is a collaborative itself. The program depends on the strength of our core partners and funding sponsors. The program operates as a not-for-profit with programs funded using cost-recovery fees. Our strategy is to provide leadership to a collaborative that create value through shareable resources, better decisions, and faster growth through leveraging existing knowledge.
